This Privacy Policy explains how the Krillion: Trivia & Word Game mobile application (package identifier com.krillion.game) for iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store) handles information. You can play the game without creating an account or providing your name, email address, phone number or payment details.
1. What stays on your device
Your game preferences (sound, low-power mode, colorblind mode, answer correction settings, selected dive buddy), unfinished answer drafts, local dive history and streaks are stored locally on your device. You can erase this data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the application.
2. Anonymous gameplay & server-side scoring
To keep the 25-second round timer and scoring fair, the app communicates with our game server at https://krillion.game. On first launch, the app generates a random anonymous UUID (sent via the X-Player-Id header) so you can complete a 7-round dive, view your daily score percentile and avoid repeating completed Unlimited games. The server records this random identifier, the date and mode of each game, the Unlimited game ID where relevant, submitted trivia answers, points awarded and round timestamps. We never link this identifier to your real identity.
3. Apple Game Center & Google Play Games Services
If you choose to use leaderboards or achievements, the app interacts with Apple Game Center (on iOS) or Google Play Games Services (on Android) to submit your scores, streaks and unlocked achievements. Authentication and profile display are handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies. We do not access your contacts, photos, location or personal account credentials.
4. AI answer validation
When a submitted trivia answer is not found in our prepared answer list, the question text and the submitted answer text may be sent from our server to an AI model via OpenRouter solely to check whether the answer is factually correct for that prompt. No player identifier, device identifier or personal information is included in that request.
5. Push & local notifications
With your permission, the app may schedule local notifications or receive push notifications (for example, reminders when a new daily dive is ready or when your streak is about to expire). You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings. Notification tokens are used exclusively to deliver game reminders and are never shared with advertisers.
6. Permissions, haptics & third-party tracking
The app uses native device haptics (vibration feedback) during gameplay and the native system share sheet when you choose to share your score. The app does not access your camera, microphone, precise location, contacts or photo library. We do not include third-party advertising SDKs, do not track you across other companies' apps or websites (no IDFA / AAID advertising tracking), and never sell user data.
7. Feedback & support
If you submit a dive rating (1–5) or a question idea at the end of a game, it is stored on our server with your random anonymous identifier and the date (limited to three submissions per day). Please do not include personal information in question suggestions. If you contact us by email at [email protected], we use your email address only to reply to your inquiry.
8. Children's privacy
Krillion: Trivia & Word Game is a general-audience word and trivia game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe personal information has been inadvertently submitted, please contact [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
9. Data retention & deletion
Anonymous game records are retained to maintain daily score distributions and game functionality, while rate-limiting counters expire within minutes. You may reset your local identifier and history at any time by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or request deletion of server records associated with your identifier by contacting [email protected].
